 Experience

  • Karan has significant experience running a complex and varied caseload of clinical claims, including injuries arising from neurological, obstetric, orthopaedic, oncological, urological, and vascular issues, as well as psychiatric/nervous shock, spinal injury, suicide, infection, consent, diagnosis delay, surgical negligence, and dental claims.
  • Karan also has experience in human rights claims within a clinical setting and has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants.
  • Karan has extensive experiencing in representing families at Inquests, having been the lead advocate and assisted in several high-profile military inquests, as well as Inquests arising from deaths in health settings.
  • Karan’s experience extends to a variety of claims, including representing several individuals in a cross-border, multi-party and high-profile claim arising from a disaster.

  • Karan also has experience in public policy having assisted in campaigns involving the introduction of a Chief Coroner in the UK as well as the re-evaluation of litigation reform costs in the UK and has experience in providing training to Coroners in relation to disclosure, and the implementation of the Human Rights Act within the context of military inquests.
