Anne Lyne - Partner

Anne is a partner and leads the Employment Law team at Hayes solicitors. She has considerable experience advising and representing employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship from pre-employment matters to termination.

Anne also advises on administrative law, industrial relations, data protection, health & safety and immigration. Anne has specialist knowledge particularly in relation to equality as it relates to the employment relationship.

Experience

  • Business experience – Anne brings a broad business perspective and international outlook to her client work. Before joining Hayes, she worked in the associated law firm of one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms and in the commercial litigation department of one of Australia's leading law firms.
  • ‘On call’ employment law advisory service - Anne provides an ‘on call’ advisory service to several clients, including membership-based associations. She deals with “on the spot” enquiries by providing advice and guidance on employment law matters. This saves time and costs for the client and is a valued client service.
  • Executives and employees – Anne advises senior executives and employees in relation to issues in the workplace including reviewing contracts, advising on difficulties at work and issues regarding termination of employment.
  • Contracts/Staff handbooks and policies – Anne tailors best practice handbooks to the needs of each client’s business to ensure clear, user friendly and workable documents including grievance and disciplinary, bullying, data protection and maternity related policies. Anne has particular expertise in reviewing documents form foreign jurisdictions for companies entering the Irish market
  • Voluntary/NGO sector – Anne has a specialist interest in and knowledge of the voluntary and NGO sector. She advises numerous clients on an ongoing basis including providing “on the spot” HR advice and guidance.

  • Diploma in Employment law, University College Dublin
  • Masters in Management, Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, Law Society of Ireland, 2004
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, Law Society of England and Wales, 2010
  • Certificate in Pensions Law, Law Society of Ireland
