Eugene Davy
Eugene is head of the family law department and is one of the most respected and experienced family law solicitors in Ireland. Eugene joined Hayes as a partner in May 2008 when his practice of Eugene Davy Solicitors merged with Hayes Solicitors. Eugene has been specialising in family law for in excess of 25 years. He advises clients in all areas of marital and non-marital disputes and has been involved in many of the leading landmark cases, including a number of cases in the area of international family law.
Eugene is a former Chairman of the Law Society’s Family Law Committee and is a former Chairman of the Family Lawyers’ Association. He is also on the Board of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, is a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and was one of the first Solicitors in Ireland to be trained in the area of Collaborative Law.
Eugene is co-author of Family Law published by Blackstone Press in conjunction with the Law Society and is a member of the editorial board of the Irish Journal of Family Law. He has written numerous articles for various legal journals and has lectured extensively. He specialises in family law but also has extensive experience in the areas of estate planning and other private client litigation. He is a CEDR accredited Mediator.
