Davnet O'Driscoll is an experienced Associate Solicitor specialising in Employment and Industrial Relations Law.

She has a particular interest in Equality Law and represents clients in claims of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, disability discrimination and other grounds before the Equality Tribunal and Labour Court. She regularly mediates discrimination and victimisation disputes on behalf of clients before the Equality Tribunal. She is an accredited Mediator and is a member of the Mediators Institute of Ireland.

She advises clients on aspects of Administrative Law including the Freedom of Information Acts 1997-2003, Data Protection Law and Judicial Review proceedings. She has represented numerous clients in bullying and harassment claims in the High Court and advises on best practice and Risk Management of employer liability claims.

She acts on behalf of Trade Unions and their members in contentious and non-contentious matters. She advises various non-governmental organisations and employers on employment policies and procedures, secondments, investigations, disciplinary hearings, health and safety, constitutional and human rights issues. She advises clients and Trade Unions in the application of the European Transfer of Undertaking Regulations 2003, the interpretation of this by the Courts, restructuring, redundancies, and varying terms and conditions of employment. She represents clients in the Courts and Employment Appeals Tribunal in relation to various issues including breach of contract, unfair dismissal, maternity-related dismissal and defamation of character.

She is a legal columnist for the UK newspaper the Irish World and contributes on varied topics www.theirishworld.com/article.asp?SubSection_Id=4&Article_Id=14283 , as well as preparing legal articles and briefings for clients. She is a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association of Ireland and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
