Breda has trained and qualified as a mediator with the U.K. based, internationally renowned Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. Breda practices as a mediator of commercial, employment and community based disputes.

Breda has a wide range of experience in dealing with commercial disputes , with a focus on resolving them at the earliest stage possible. Her commercial litigation experience extends across the range of civil courts and statutory tribunals in Ireland. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts at the different levels of the business supply chain. She advises on a vast myriad of legal queries for businesses.

She has a particular expertise in employment law, advising both employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship, including terms and conditions of employment, equality matters and industrial relations issues. She proactively works to resolve employment disputes in a conciliatory manner where feasible. Breda handles employment law claim in the Courts, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Equality Tribunal and other industrial relations fora.

She regularly gives workshops and seminars to employer clients on employment law issues and she provides staff training programmes.

Breda joined Hayes Solicitors as a solicitor's apprentice and qualified as a solicitor in 1996. She worked in McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors from 1996 until she returned to the firm as a partner in 2008.
