ICGP SEMINAR
Hayes solicitors were delighted to participate in the Irish College of General Practitioners Third Annual Summer School which took place at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny between the 23rd and 26th June 2009.
David Phelan and Jackie Buckley, partners, presented workshops on the topics of Partnership and Co-Ownership of the Practice. The focus of both presentations was on the importance of having a written agreement in order to avoid ambiguity in the areas of partnership and property management. David looked at how essential it is to have clarity about the legal status of those who work in the practice. He also spoke about the implications of not having a written Partnership Agreement. Jackie Buckley spoke on the types of issues that co-owners of a property should think about and the fact that they should have an agreement setting these out. She also looked at leasing arrangements from a landlord and tenant perspective.
The seminar was attended by general practitioners from across the country and was convened by the ICGP Management in Practice Programme.
