Judy is a Partner who specialises in professional negligence and acts on behalf of doctors, dentists and veterinary surgeons in negligence actions and has represented practitioners before the High and Supreme Court and European Court of Justice in Luxembourg as well as at numerous hospital inquires, Medical Council, Dental Council and Veterinary Council of Ireland hearings and at inquests. She acted in relation to the clinical trials aspect of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse. She was invited by Judge Maureen Clark to act as solicitor to the Lourdes Hospital Inquiry where she interviewed witnesses, advised on procedure, considered documentation and evidence and consulted in relation to the report which was published in January 2006. She has advised clients on the Medical Practitioners Act and has advised and lectured on clinical governance. She has carried out hospital audit work in relation to clinical governance.
