Yvonne is a solicitor in the firm’s Healthcare department. After completing her law degree in University College Cork, she was appointed to a management role in the Irish civil service, working in the area of human resources. During this period, Yvonne completed the Diploma in Employment Law in University College Dublin.
Yvonne joined Hayes solicitors as a trainee in 2007 and worked predominantly with the Healthcare team assisting in the area of medical defence litigation with particular emphasis on medical, dental and veterinary negligence. She also assisted in representing clients at disciplinary inquiries before the Medical Council and at Inquest hearings.
Upon her qualification as a solicitor in 2009, Yvonne went to work with one of Cork’s longest established firms in the area of civil litigation where she was involved in all aspects of proceedings before the District, Circuit and High Courts.
Yvonne was invited to join the Healthcare team in 2011 and works closely with the leading partners on a wide range of medical and dental claims including catastrophic injuries and high value High Court claims. She has specific experience in representing and advising individual medical and dental practitioners in all aspects of medical law, both contentious and non-contentious.
