Margaret qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 having studied at University College Galway and the Law Society of Ireland. She also participated in the Erasmus Programme studying European Law at the University of Leuven, Belguim.
She is an Associate in the Healthcare department of the firm.She has extensive experience in civil litigation and in particular, medical litigation and pharmaceutical litigation.
She was involved in complex multi-party litigation against a number of US pharmaceutical companies. She has acted for plaintiffs and defendants in clinical negligence claims. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury claims, employer liability claims and public liability claims.
She has acted for primary applicants, spouses and dependants in applications to the HIV & Hepatitis C Compensation Tribunal and on appeal to the High Court. She has represented applicants at the Lindsay Tribunal of Inquiry. She has acted for applicants applying to the Lourdes Hospital Redress Board.
She has been a law tutor at University College Galway and the Law Society of Ireland.
