Deirdre McCarthy
Deirdre McCarthy qualified as a solicitor in 1999 having studied at Trinity College, Dublin (LLB) and the Law Society of Ireland. She is an associate of the firm.
Deirdre works in the Commercial and Business Department and the Healthcare Department.
Deirdre focuses on commercial and healthcare litigation with a particular emphasis on professional negligence and medical and dental defence work. She also has experience in defending product and public liability cases, commercial court cases and EU/competition litigation.
She provides expert advice to domestic and international clients on a broad range of commercial matters with particular emphasis on shareholders' agreements, agency, franchise and distribution agreements, terms and conditions of sale and purchase, public procurement and insolvency.
She has lectured to clients on general commercial law issues, competition law, data protection legislation and most recently to members of the Small Firms Association on insolvency law.
