Aoife is a member of our Healthcare team. After completing a law degree in University College Dublin, she joined the firm as a trainee in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Aoife has experience in all aspects of civil litigation. She specialises in the area of professional negligence, with a particular emphasis on medical, dental and veterinary negligence defence.
Aoife also advises healthcare service providers and healthcare professionals on a wide range of issues. She has advised hospitals on a variety of medico-legal and clinical risk management queries including consent to clinical treatment, mental health and advance directives. Aoife has lectured to Diploma students of Health Services Policy on various topics including the general principles of negligence, consent to treatment and the practical procedure involved in running a clinical negligence case.
