PAI Seminar “Cost Effective Legal Proceedings and Taxation of Costs”
Martha Wilson recently attended a most relevant seminar organised by Public Affairs Ireland that highlighted a number of useful ways of effectively managing disputes to achieve the maximum saving of costs.
Speakers at a seminar organised by Public Affairs Ireland on 28 January 2010 at their Mountjoy Square premises highlighted to members of the solicitors profession and industry alike a range of methods by which disputes can be solved with a reduction in costs; the proposed reforms of taxation of costs; and the increasing recognition by both the public and private sectors that alternative dispute resolution, and particularly mediation, can be the most cost effective way of solving disputes.
